On February 26, 2026, Assistant Professor Patinya Sang-Aroon, a lecturer in the Product Design, Packaging, and Innovation Program, Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, participated in the “Eco-Packaging Design Education Short Course.” The program was organized by the Thai Packaging Design Association and held at the Mandarin Hotel Samyan, Bangkok.

The objective of this training program was to promote awareness of the environmental impacts of marine and terrestrial waste, as well as to develop curricula related to eco-packaging design. It also aimed to provide practical knowledge and tools for sustainable packaging design to youth (school and university students) and educators in educational institutions. The program sought to enable participants to integrate Eco-Design concepts into teaching curricula, strengthen long-term academic capacity, and address environmental issues caused by packaging.

The course emphasized hands-on learning, the use of real materials, and collaboration with the industrial sector in order to reduce packaging waste and promote circular thinking within the framework of the circular economy.
