Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, through the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, has implemented the project “Expanding Banana Tree Paper Innovation through an Appropriate Learning Process (ALP)”, supported by funding from the Program Management Unit for Area-Based Development (PMU-A).

This project focuses on enhancing the quality of life of households within the network by applying innovation to generate added value in economic, social, and environmental aspects, ultimately leading to sustainable development at the local level.

The implementation of the project was led by the research team comprising:

  • Dr. Panu Pattanapanithipong
  • Associate Professor Dr. Rosjana Chandhasa
  • Lecturer Chutima Ngampipat

A series of hands-on workshops were organized from September 4–6, 2025, at the Sai Yok Subdistrict Women Volunteers’ Club, Kanchanaburi Province, integrating research with academic service activities to foster mutual learning between researchers and the community.

In addition, the project incorporated the learning process of third-year students from the Product and Packaging Design Program, including:

  • Ms. Kamonporn Kaewkanrai
  • Ms. Thanjira Koythong
  • Ms. Pharita Wisetdee

This provided students with the opportunity to engage in applying classroom knowledge to real-world situations, reflecting the concept of “utilizing innovation and research for the benefit of the community.”
